Why is edmodo good

The share assignments feature now on Edmodo makes having a paperless classroom more available. So excited that my students can connect both platforms that are heavily used in our classroom. Thanks Edmodo! With Edmodo, you can easily set up small groups so you can support differentiated learning in your classroom. Split students into groups that let them tackle different content or practices. Or group them together for single projects or lab groups.

Then use Edmodo to easily provide rapid formative assessment and cyclical feedback to individual students. With students, I use the small groups to encourage collaboration with classmates in a more leveled way.

Check your admin dashboard day or night to get real-time analytics. When you implement a tool that teachers and students already use, getting the data you need is simple. I could keep coming up with more reasons, but I urge you to go explore yourself. I know this may sound like some kind of paid endorsement, but it's not — Edmodo has never advertised on EmergingEdTech, and I have not been paid a dime by them.

I just truly believe it is an excellent platform, and one of the best things I can do to promote the power of instructional technologies and help educators learn about good technology tools is to turn people on to premier free solutions like this one. Edmodo partners with content providers to display resources such as lesson plans, tests, games and other activities. Snapshot also provides question banks and assessments for teachers as well as real-time reports that illustrate progress by student so teachers can figure out which students need help.

Within each class or group, teachers or students can post statuses, add comments or share files. Edmodo has built-in Zoom integration, so live classes can be delivered virtually without leaving the software. Progress measurement — Teachers and students can monitor their progress on specific assignments or courses with real-time dashboards. Edmodo is targeted to teachers, students, parents and administrators in the K environment. It has been used by over million people worldwide.

Implementation takes as little as a few minutes. Edmodo offers training guides for teachers. Users can also submit a support request, ask questions to other users, send feedback to Edmodo or find out information on product releases from the help center.
